DEDICATED TO CRIMINAL DEFENSE AND FAMILY LAW
A message from Attorney Beaubien:
“During law school, I discovered that I wanted to help people accused of crimes fight against the massive power of the government. I am passionate about fighting for the constitutional rights of all Americans. I head into the trenches every day in the ongoing battle to preserve due process and the equal protection of the laws of this great country. I aggressively and relentlessly pursue the best possible resolution of every case. I know that if you are charged with a crime, no matter how minor, the consequences can be devastating on your career and in your personal life.
After law school, when I began practicing law, I also realized that I wanted to help families and children in family court. I saw just how complicated and challenging this system can be, and just how difficult family disputes can be on children – which can cause harmful, lifelong effects. It became important for me to help bring some relief to those families trying to navigate the complex and difficult family law landscape our system has created.
When you hire me, you will be given the support you need to go to resolve your case. I am here to listen and explain the entire process to you. I will provide a case analysis where I will explain the strengths and weaknesses of your case. As your case develops, you will be updated. When you have questions, you will always have an answer from me, or will be provided a clear timeline about when an answer will be obtained.
I love what I do for a living. I will always attempt to negotiate the best outcome for your legal issue. But when negotiation is not an option, I am ready to fight the most difficult challenges in court. When you hire me, I promise nothing but professionalism, competence, and dedication to your cause. Call me today for your consultation.”
Brett Beaubien grew up delivering newspapers for the Woonsocket Call, his home-town paper, and spent his high school years as a dishwasher and line cook for a local family style restaurant. He left Woonsocket to earn a business degree at URI, and began his career operating a high energy restaurant in Rhode Island, overseeing a staff of over one hundred employees and managing a budget of over six-million dollars.
After leaving the restaurant business, Brett attended Roger Williams University School of Law, where he excelled in trial and appellate litigation, obtaining the highest achievement award for criminal litigation, and appellate writing and advocacy. In only his second year, he became the winner of his law school’s Moot Court competition in an argument before the Supreme Court of Rhode Island. He authored an article published in the school’s Law Review, and served as Student Chair of the law school’s student disciplinary tribunal, overseeing the prosecution of complaints of student misconduct.
Brett spent his law school summers with the U.S. Military; first as a legal intern supporting the DOD’s international law mission with the Defense Institute for International Legal Studies at Naval Station Newport in 2014, and then as a legal intern with the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate Generals Corp in Sicily, Italy, in 2015. He finished his law school career as a student attorney defending indigent clients in the Criminal Defense Clinic, appearing before the Rhode Island District Court and Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal.
Now, he works alongside some of the most successful criminal defense and family law attorneys in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, aggressively defending clients in Rhode Island and Massachusetts courts every day. Brett is dedicated to fighting for truth and justice, and to obtaining the most favorable results for every client, and prepares each case as if he were going to trial. Brett Beaubien believes in giving back to the community, and volunteers his time as an officer on the Board of the Rhode Island Legal Education Foundation.
